Kona Brown is Mrs UN South Africa 2012 and Mrs UN International 2013 title holder and has been honoured both nationally and internationally for her humanitarian work, specifically among South Africa’s orphaned and vulnerable children. In both pageants, she also walked away with coveted titles in Grace and Style, most photogenic, Fitness and Eveningwear. 

As a popular public speaker, Kona shares with candour and humour on a large variety of topics, including active citizenship and the future of South Africa, volunteerism, raising socially responsible kids, beauty with a purpose and other relevant topics that inspires those with a heart for South Africa and it’s people.

A graduate of the University of Johannesburg, majoring in Development Studies and Political Science, Kona shows an active interest in current affairs. She has over 6 years of work experience in the financial sector as business analyst, where she was also consistently recognised for outstanding achievements in project implementations, analytical and presentation skills, high quality deliverables and leadership skills. She also has 6 years’ experience in implementing her knowledge and expertise in the NGO sector, establishing and growing 2 community projects that serve disadvantaged children.

Kona is fully bilingual and she developed a love for public speaking and broadcasting at a young age. One of South Africa’s first KTV presenters back in 1989 at the age of 12, she has now decided to again reapply her passion and talents to the world of broadcasting and to add to it maturity, enthusiasm and a commendable work ethic.
